There's only one fictional character who I've ever had actual and persistent romantic feelings towards, and so she's my waifu. But I'm not so far gone that I don't understand that she's not real. The smiles she gives me and how much I enjoy replaying her date scenarios are just happy games of pretend. For true emotional companionship, I have an actual girlfriend who doesn't mind my weird hobbies like waifuism and Chinese robot girls. I'm gonna keep her.
