That entire scene in EP8 is supicious as fuck. They use custom school girl goat sprites that never appear anywhere else when it could've been done in text only or the scene could've been represented in some other way. Isn't it strange to represent Ange facing the truth that particular way? Goat girls eating through her clothes at school and licking her naked body all over (it's literally described this way, I'm not even joking.

That scene is hinting at her biggest trauma, the day she got stripped naked by bullies. It's canon. It also explains why she's so willing to kill herself and doesn't try to do something else with her life before jumping off a skyscraper. Her dignity is broken since that day and she lost all her confidence. Especially considering they might have spread rumors about it or even filmed it all with a 90s videocamera. She's fucking done with life since that day.

Why do you think she waited until Eva's death to go to the rooftop and kill herself? She wanted to at least know what happened on the island, even though deep down she was so humiliated she wanted to die. When Eva went into convulsions without telling anything, that was her signal to kill herself because she never learned the truth and she stayed alive for nothing.

Why do you think the scene with her classmates ends so abruptly with Ange denying Mammon and shit? Why do we never learn what happened after that? Because this is what happened. She got stripped naked by the bullies. Strongly implied in this goat scene in EP8.

Remember that they were all surrounding Ange, in an empty classroom in the evening, with no teachers around. And right before the end of the scene, Ange had given up and read the letter humiliating herself. She was broken and didn't care about anything anymore. She submitted herself to their will and would do what they wanted. This is what leads to her stripping and degradation. Remember how she was unable to move in the scene with the goats. It represents her unwillingness to stand up for herself, letting the bullies do as they please.

The first game was shadow written by the same guy that did the cutscene direction (notice how they became much more stilted and awkward in later games). Nomura did the actual plot elements and mechanics of the universe, but the character interactions and drama was done by that other guy. Plus, after the success of the first game, Disney told Nomura to tone down Kairi's sass and make her look and act more like a Disney princess. Hence her godawful portrayal in later games. I suspect Nomura was always gay, though.
