It's hard to say what is genuine and what wasn't. There was one scene in Neko that seemed to hint she was just bored with it all in the birthday party (and this scene was in both anime and manga, although not the page I'm posting), but then the ending completely ignored all that, acting like only St.Lucia was ever an issue for her. Hopefully the manga gives us a better look into her head.
