Yes, the intent is that it can be anything. Much like the loli-simulator.

The only requirement is that you actually want to work on something and will contribute to it.

1) Get a DAW, you'll need to do some EQ and it's easier to do with software other than the vocaloid engine.

2) Write some music. Make sure to leave space for a melody (the vocals is the focus of a vocaloid song, after all)

3) Realize that all your music will sound like crap for a long time, let go after a while and move on to the next song.

4) Get a vocaloid. Avanna is a great English one, and you may have other options depending on your native languages.

It was the videos with BRS characters to vocaloid music (especially songs sung by Miku). That and BRS was starting to get popular around the time Miku was. I made the mistake a long time ago, but have sense corrected it.

It is a derivative work, which means Aroduc needs permission from the copyright holder to do make it. We covered this extensively in the last thread.

Basically, he cannot do anything legally without their permission (Little Witch belonged to a parent, who still holds the copyright), and they can't do anything with the actual translated text (should he make it). Doesn't matter if it's Japanese or not, dead or not, it's illegal unless he's given an OK from the parent.

Also, translating takes a bitch-long amount of time. If you've an inexperienced translator (who has to look up most of the words in a dictionary), 50 lines can take between 4-6 hours to do correctly.

And, even if you have a fluent one, it still takes a bit of writing skill to properly articulate what someone wants to read.
