Miko absolutely was one of the least popular girls. But she seems to firing on all cylinders now. She's gained a bunch of confidence that she never had before and viewers have noticed it. She feels like one of the "top" girls of Hololive now but she's still got a lot of catching up to do. Also, many clips of her went viral on Twitter and Youtube.

Repost from the other thread:

Let's talk about Miko's astronomical growth. This is a girl who busted her ass since August of 2018, making videos. She worked hard to garner videos that gained 5,000 views if she was lucky. She was one of the non-Hololive/Kizuna AI clones and was amongst the 1st V-tubers on the platform. At one point, Miko was dead last in both total subscribers and subscriber growth among the Hololive girls (Pic related). Her early videos were painful to watch because she was clearly depressed and insecure, she didn't believe in herself and was constantly getting overshadowed by the other girls, no one came to see her during fan meet-ups and it all ate away at her. If you look at her old videos, her chat was incredibly slow and messages were a few seconds in-between. It must've sucked being in her position, watching girls come out of nowhere and completely overshadow her, Pekora calling her a small fish and unpopular. And then everything changed when she started playing GTAV.

Fast forward to now and she finally hit 300,000 subscribers but her channel has spiked in popularity. She's gained 50,000 subscribers in the past 30 days, 16,000 in the past 7 days alone with no signs of slowing down. Many of her clips have gone viral and her and Korone are the 2 V-tubers most responsible for Hololive's popularity in the West. It's hard not to look back at all of this and not feel immensely proud of her.
