sasshi started as a nobody, a back up dancer who got little to no lines in songs, but gradually gained in popularity.
on her way up to the top, she got hit with what should've been a career ending scandal, someone reported to a news paper that sasshi is sexually aggressive and made all the moves on him.
AKB management decided to exile her to HKT48, at the time the least popular sister group, because they couldn't outright fire someone of sasshi's stature at the time.

Everyone expected Sasshi to roll over and die, but she did the opposite. She turned HKT into a glamour team. HKT went from the least popular group, to 48g's flagship group under her leadership. Everyone in HKT loved her unconditionally and even now, she has 2 proteges in the group that she spent time mentoring before she graduated last year.

Sasshi famously said she doesn't care about her haters because all her haters do is make her more money, and also controversially said that you dont need to learn how to sing or dance to be a good idol because the fans will love you as long as you try your hardest.

Her last 5 years in the 48g system she won the general election 4 times, an 3 peated in her final 3 years by a record margin. All of this after being sent to die in HKT after her scandal. She's the idols idol, you'd be hard pressed to find a current 48g girl that doesn't idolize her.
