Kitsune... are a really independent creatures. Since our childhood we are taught self-reliance, independency, hard-work.

Our parents serve as our guardians through the basic steps in our life. They teach us how to take care of ourselves, they teach us a respect, a duty. We also need to be taught fighting.

Three steps a kitsune must fulfill in order to become an adult.

First, complete a training of body. You need to be confident with your movement, you need to learn how to defend yourself.

Second, a training of mind. Your parents teach you knowledge. You read a lot of books then, you study the world around you, the humanity, the kitsune origins. Who we are. Why we are. Why humans are the surperior kind on this planet.

Then, there is a soul training. You learn how to use magic, how to feel the energy around us, how to meditate.

Naturally, parents do love their children. But we also have a lot of duties, as we value individualism between kitsune.

I moved out of my parents' place at the age of 30. My body was on human years about 10-11 years old and I was already mature as a kitsune.
