I only know of ONE's characters from their actions in EFZ, so I'm not sure how accurate the following stuff is. But according to my EFZ rival:
Kouhei loses a lot during his childhood and rejects his friends and stuff, because he believes it's not worth trying since nothing is eternal anyway. But loli Mizuka says some famous quote (I guess?), something like "There is such a thing as 'eternity'..."

It somehow breaks Kouhei out of his slump, but from that day Kouhei's only wish in life is realizing this 'eternity' -- playing with Mizuka for eternity. Living a pointless life he loses his connention with reality believing that his dream world exists somewhere above this one, and pulls off some reality marble or some shit and actually creates the world of eternity, erasing all traces of himself in reality. Because he is an emo Zelretch or something. The eternal world also contains some loli Mizuka as the world keeper, as it was part of the dream.
