Yes, he is paranoid about Battler stealing Shannon from him. But you know what? He's absolutely right. His waifu WOULD INDEED be stolen from him, hell, even him coming back on the day George proposed was enough to put Shannon into indecision.

I can't blame him for hiding the letter, but I think someone else caused that.

George has no motive for the roulette itself, he is just acting to avoid getting NTR'd.

Alright, so, Beatrice calls Battler a sinner, and yet, if episode 6 is to be believed, she lied to her fiance, best friend, Battler, and everyone else she knew, and, even worse than that, killed them.

Sometimes, she even went so far as to frame perfectly innocent people for murder so she could get away with her evil scheme.

Hell, in the future, which may be the ONLY future, Eva died a bitter old woman framed for crimes she did not commit, and Ange's life sucked massively.

On the other hand, she's currently involved in a romance with her best friend.

George and Battler, they're both in love with a fake being. Sayo's true self only really loves Battler, when it comes down to it. That is why Battler is saved till last, that is why Sayo's gameplan revolves around Battler.

Actions speak louder than words, Shannon can claim to love George all she wants, it means nothing if she kills him without a though.

And Jessica and Kanon, pft. Those two are on two different levels. You have Jessica, who has a shockingly reasonable and self-aware philosophy on her feelings for Kanon, and then you have Kanon, who switches from feeling nothing to being madly in love with her.

In the end, even though the origin of Shkanontrice claims to have split her soul, we all know this isn't true. She loves Battler, first and foremost. An ending in which Battler would somehow split all three of the personas and make them into separate people would feel forced and rather creepy.

I was told that George's fight was awesome.

I ended up rooting for Eva.

I'm going to tell you why you shouldn't expect a BAW ending for Umineko just yet.

First off, this whole nonsense of all the episodes being mystery novels - Yes, could very well be true, but think of what that implies. That's a plot coupon for Piece Battler to have a good end, naturally. With Meta-Battler BAWing during this episode, and everything seeming to suck, remember, we have more episodes to come. And R07 is going to finish the story. Things are darkest before the dawn, and a hopeless situation means a million to one chance, and a million to one chance means a miracle has to occur to make things better.
Gee, a miracle? Happening at the end of the series? Nonsense, right? I mean, that would only happen in romance novels.....
