True... I guess it's kind of a scarf-cape thing?
The one he has in Disgaea 1 looks more like a cape, but I guess it gets more scarf-like in 2 which is the one I based it off of, so you're right.

Pictures of the full thing, oh gosh... When I've posted full cosplays before, /jp/ got mad at me... but hopefully it's alright. Here's this, then... the scarf was a little off-center, one of the antennas was falling off, and you can't see the shoes (which honestly is for the better, they were pretty bad), but it's from a camera a lot nicer than my phone's camera, so that's good.

Be wary of safe spots. Without knowing the boss's movement pattern there I can't say for sure, but that looks like something that could easily have a huge safe spot to it. I guess if you made it so the boss stayed higher than and more or less above the player then it'd be fine.
