if anything, I did write a tribute to Yams in the HSE

"R-Right!" Yura cried over the murmurs of a veritable sea of Kurodani's. I'd not been into the rooms on the first floor of the Kurodani building, but it was clear that there were an insane number Kurodani family members. Yura had entered each room on the floor and yelled for everyone inside to come to the room at the far end, which was apparently the biggest one.

Inside, Yura and I stood at the front, with everyone else watching us. Some of them were having small conversations with each other about work and hobbies, some were trying to nap, and plenty more were just waiting for us to actually do something. Here, I found, was the problem. Yura clearly didn't want to say anything. She had sounded determined when she had been talking to Reiko, but that bravado had all but evaporated as soon as she had to actually address everyone. "S-So, how are you all doing!?" She called, to another wave of half-mumbled answers, and a lot of 'who's that human?' Yura looked over at me with a question in her eyes, and after a moment, I shrugged. It wasn't like it was much of a secret already, and I didn't want to try and hide my relationship with Yamame from her sister's. "This - This is the love of Yamame's life!" I incredulously asked Yura if there hadn't been a better way too put that. Well, I practically had to shout over the tsunami of whispers, cheers, and questions that erupted, but still. "Okay, quiet - Quiet!" Yura yelled, and after a few moments, the noise finally subsided. "That's not important, but-"

"Does big sis Yamame love that human!?" Someone shouted. I tried to see who it was, but there were a lot of short, black-haired girls in the group, so it didn't accomplish very much at all. "Why?" Something about the bemused nature of the question made me wonder if I just looked really dishevelled or otherwise poor in a way that would make Yamame loving me into a strange choice. “Is that one of those Hell brand T-shirts? How’d a human get one of those?” I chose not to answer that.

"Isn't he the human who fell through all of our webs!?" Someone else shouted. I was really hoping that they would have forgotten that by now. "How come he's here? Are we going to beat him up!?" I swallowed a little nervously. Hopefully no one would get any strange ideas like that, or I’d be done for.

"He's doing some work for me!" Yura sharply replied. "And if anyone's got a problem with him, then they've got a problem with Yamame, and if they've got a problem with Yamame, then you've got a problem with all of us and I suggest you think very hard about that." Happily, it seemed that Yura's words had managed to calm them all down. "Now...You've probably realised that - That more and more of you aren't doing much work lately." Yura had her hands behind her back, but I could still see that she was fidgeting. It seemed that much like Yamame's social awkwardness with new people, Yura's manifested in unwillingness to tell her sisters to disperse. And...Possibly public speaking.

"Yeah, what's up with that?" I heard someone ask. "How come we keep getting passed over for any work?" This, I had a sudden bad feeling about. It could get ugly quickly if they started blaming each other for who got to actually do any work.

"W-Well, that's - Uh, You're not getting passed over, it's just-" Yura's attempt at calming them failed entirely, because there was some very clear dissent brewing in the room. Muttered complaints about being ignored followed by some of the sisters wondering if I was stealing Yamame from them amidst questions on when everyone would be paid. Here, I realised that the meeting was no longer being ran by Yura. It was being ran by the younger sisters.

Thus, I decided to take a page from Yamame's book and used my best impression of her reprimanding intonation, and barked out a command for them all to be quiet. To my surprise, I seemed to have picked up more of Yamame's mannerisms than I'd thought, because the room fell silent immediately. I even heard one of them whisper that 'He sounds like Big Sis already', which I thought was pretty funny. Still holding Yamame's tone of voice, I told them to quiet down and listen to their big sister Yura, and all eyes turned toward Yura immediately. She quailed a little, but I gave her a Yamame-like pronunciation of her name, and she swallowed and nodded.

"Okay, um, the work's wrapping up, so it's probably time to..." She trailed off again, so I slapped her in the back and she squeaked slightly before swallowing. Then, a look came over her eye and I wondered if something had just changed. "To start planning the completion party!" She suddenly shouted, and there was a moment of silence before the room erupted in cheers loud enough to make me ears ring. My gaze very slowly slid from the crowd of excitable spiders to Yura, who looked at me slightly sheepishly.
