>/jp/ is not some board with a static topic; thinking in this way leads to the stagnation that has been plaguing us for quite some time. It may sound extremely revolting, but in order for /jp/ to survive, we need to look not only to our past, but at other boards like /a/ and /v/. Here at /jp/ we discuss our tired, old and busted FSN, Umineko, Higurashi, TypeMoon Nasuverse whatever and whenever it's not that, it's which 2hu wud u fuk. At least /a/ has its Flavor of the Month anime that incites new discussion. That Pooh Homerun game that /jp/ shunned? Guess what happened with /v/? /v/ accepted it and churned out a decent amount of Original Content. What happened to our days when we would draw moé anthropomorphisms of whatever oddity that popped up? I know it's pretty difficult to keep up hope when it seems all you see is ``feelio when poopyc ock'' being spammed constantly, and speaking out against this type of shift is warranted, but I see threads that are rejected by the /jp/ residents that really shouldn't have been rejected. /jp/ hates change, I know, but rejecting anything new results in stagnation, and stagnation results in the death of the board. /jp/ needs to evolve from its static self to fluidity.

Why did we stop drawing cute moé representations of things people? no one draws catmoot anymore.
When was the last epic (true epic, not the retarded neologist definition of epic) 4chan flash made? 2007, maybe?
