there's no point spending time worrying about the 1 specific sentence you can't understand when you can just move on and acquire the grammar through a less confusing sentence so you'll understand more later. it's not like you'll really benefit much from getting some eigo induced understanding that you'll just be unable to implement next time you come across a similar usage.
