Forgive me for answering 2 months later but I just stumbled across your post and uh, Kinzo in EP8 completely destroys the entirety of your post and the "consensus" theory. The whole point of this scene is Ryukishi telling you that you don't know how these characters actually were like, to the point where a character could be a complete 180 of what they were portrayed as in the 7 previous episodes, precisely because they were written by unreliable writers. You're making the exact same mistake Ange did here.
