NEET threads always confused me as a product of /jp/, how are you supposed to embrace living in a consumption-based hobby, reliant on up to the minute knowledge of any given industry or series' developments. One that commodifies both time and effort, yet is also reliant on disposable income. Essentially, it succumbs to the urge to regress to the point of asking your parents for money, though extends to financial institutions, eventually culminating in an urge to go without food, bedding or shelter for some intangible benefit, a card, a bunch of numbers. and so on.

Does this lifestyle enable any attempt at living for an extended period, or is it just a band-aid solution for the loss of individuality in the year of our lord 2015, simplifying human lives to work solely for a sense of vague accomplishment, with no meaning to anyone else.
