Hi monstergirl thread may I ask what do you think is the appeal of the idea in which a Witch, or female wizard, mage or magic user adopts and takes care of an orphan boy and grooms them and educate them to be an ideal type of man?

I ask because there was once a minor trend amongst Nippon and or Pixiv artists and other artists in twatters where they all draw and share drawings, art and scenarios where an orphan girl or orphan boy (but mostly orphan boys) are taken in by witches or sorceresses to and are raised to be upstanding members of society or as husbandos or lovers. I forgot if there was a name for that minor Artist's trend, but that was a thing.

Asides from possible and implied femdom undertones involving a pretty magic girl taking care of a young boy. Is there possible basis involving that? Let's say a boy becoming an upstart hero or Adventurer thanks to their cool adoptive wizard/witch mother. Or the esteemed Arch Mage of the academy or peerless Royal court mage is that powerful and has great knowledge he shares amongst comrades and trusted colleagues thanks to the adoptive witch mom who raised, fed and educated him.

What makes the idea of rather powerful spellcaster people adopting and raising poor homeless orphans into upstanding type of people or into ideal lovers so appealing? Would the very idea of some nobody homeless orphan being adopted and raised by a witch make for a rather decent back story for characters or a narrative?
