I just finished volume 1 of yotsuba, its very sweet and much more enjoyable than I was expecting. I wish I had tried reading it sooner because for the first time reading is really 'clicking' for me. I had tried tadoku books which felt too simple and unengaging and NHK easy news which was also unengaging, and it felt too advanced without much visual context to assist me. I've already seen a lot of progress be made in my reading ability just in the past few days. It feels great to recognize words I had looked up previously and to get the gist of a couple panels/half a page without needing to look anything up :)
