Well, you see, in my mind I suppose that I would look different if I had been a girl, and can imagine an alter ego for myself as a female who I find attractive enough to be acceptable being seen with a character who I am actually attracted to. When I imagine myself as a more desirable male I feel territorial and also intensely aware than I am engaging in escapism. Imagining myself as a girl comes far more smoothly and comfortably.
