Better question. Why do I like Mitsuru so much?
Dude barely has any characterization, but he has this sense of melancholy lingering over him.
The way Shiki crippled his future sight makes it even more so.

Also, what the fuck was that vision he got near the end?
It's not in the novel whatsoever.
