i think avoiding listening entirely is stunting yourself regardless of what media youre interested in cuz youre missing part of the holy trinity of nihongo
but youre not gonna be making a lot of progress in listening to shit you couldnt understand at all if you read it either lol its just slowing you down in working on the more important problem which is not being able to feel the meaning
you should def hear some nihongo sometimes which based voiced eroge takes care of but worrying about your listening falling behind or whatever is a meme
