/jp/ - Otaku Culture

I've had the same question for years but still have no answer. I want to enjoy cozy moments with /jp/ again like in the old times, but it seems everyone left and I don't know where they went. Spin-offs are mostly dead and aren't the same.

I've thought about founding an imageboard to re-create old /jp/ but I think it'd be populated by the kind of annoying people who treat imageboards like a Discord channel.

Maybe the only option is to finally learn Japanese and lurk Futaba, but I don't know if it still a good place. I remember they had a large red text telling people to avoid talking about politics, and they added a child-rearing board. Doesn't seem very otaku...
