the problem with the thread is that while usually the number of posters are large, most conversations seem to be spearheaded by the same people, in times like these where perfume disappoints us again, most of the people who ground the conversation leave for a bit or just lose the will to post, I've seen this quite a few times, Pick me up done this to perfume gen before, cosmic explorer done this, tokyo girl done this and if you wanna all done this to the thread before.

usually the thread swells after an announcement and then it dies, then the sad saps drive the thread in one direction, usually a bad one. I'm also guilty of this, I really drive the thread in an anti-perfume direction which doesn't really promote conversation that much while cringey-kun will get obnoxiously lewd which pretty much alienates people who aren't a sexiual deviant. no offense, I just don't like to mix social interaction with masturbation.

I think the way to make the threads healthier is probably to speak a little more candidly in times like this. it's what fixed it last time and made it as good as it has been until FP was revealed.

I feel like speaking about why we're even still here and how perfumes used to make us feel or how they currently make us feel might be the cathartic conversation that people need. I mean at this point I'm sure the vast majority of us don't like the direction perfume is going in but I don't think that talking about that has to be inherently negative.

I feel like this post says nothing but shit, there was something really going and no one can deny that FP killed it. once my time is freed up I've got shit I'm gonna post and who knows maybe I'll revamp those nocchi fan fics I worked on and add a conclusion to the set of stories.

tell me if that interests any of you and I'll probably do it. all I know is that perfume gen for better or worse always survives even when it shouldn't so let's just make the rough patches as comfy as they can be together.
