Maybe there are a lot of Slav/Russians on /jp/?
Or maybe otakus are more likely to have an interest in Russian history and culture?

Otaku seem to have an interest in the cultures of introverted countries, main point being Japan. But I'd include Russia in there too. And Finland, but they don't have much international media. As opposed to extroverted cultures, like America or such.

I personally am quite interested in Russian history and literature.
