But the only thing that game made me feel, was the urge to play the original Okami. Sure, it was a game made for the fans who wanted more, but it just didn't feel as soulful as Okami.
Maybe I'm just bitter because of one thing: items required for 100% completion can easily be missed. I got to one point in the ice dungeon, and saw two paths, one which seemed harder to spot and needed a technique to open up, and another much more obvious path.

I took the first path to get the secret, but it turns out that was the path to progress. And opening that path means you can't go back to that missed secret. Ever. In the whole game.
That made me pretty salty.

Okamiden had its moments, for sure. And I know it's on a handheld which simply can't deliver as much as a Wii or PS2, but I still feel like it was a downgrade in every way.
I don't hate it, but given the choice, I'll opt to just replay Okami, every time.

And besides, now that Clover Studios is gone, an Okami sequel would, logically, be developed by Platinum.
