Not gore afaik, just nudity and what not. But most of them are just hilarious rather than dramtic. Whatever you'd call Pink Films made in Korea or even China are better than the Japanese ones if you want to take them a bit more seriously. Japan is after all much more liberal with their bizarre stories about invisible men and heroes of rape.
