The attached image is of Meryl Tanashi. Meryl is a character from the visual novel series Rose Guns Days, first released in August 2012 and written by Ryukishi07 (real name unknown). Meryl, as it turns out, is not the characters real name, which is actually Miyoko Tanashi. You may recognize the name Miyoko Tanashi, as it is the same as the original name of the character Miyo Takano from the visual novel series Higurashi: When They Cry, also written by Ryukishi07. Meryl also shares the same birthday (June 20th) and blood type (O) as Takano.

Meryl however does not share the same appearance with Takano but strangely shares the appearance of a different Higurashi: When They Cry character, Hojou Satoko. What's more she also shares a dislike of pumpkin with Hojou Satoko from Higurashi: When They Cry.

What did Ryukishi07 mean by this?
