What is in theory the ultimate hero(ine) for battling the monster girls? The two problems are spirit energy and corruption. I feel both problems can be solved with a widowed heroine who is a Blood Knight and devoted to her late husband. Her loyalty to a man who no longer exists cancels out turning her into a creature that either seeks a man or does better with the one she has. If her powers are dependent on the blood she sheds rather than spirit energy she could wear an item that locks her spirit energy in place, making her unable to use normal magic but also make it impossible to drain it.
