It is strange for Yuyuko-sama to be helpful, but she looks so proud of the meal. It does smell quite nice...

Dinner was wonderful. Yuyuko-sama really is a good cook, even if she's not as experienced as I am. She happily babbles on about recently dead artists she's met. Honestly, I don't care about that sort of thing, but Yuyuko-sama is so enthusiastic that it's hard not to laugh with her.

All of a sudden, I feel quite tired. It's as if all my energy left in a single moment...

I struggle to keep my head raised and my eyes open. It wouldn't do to collapse in front of Yuyuko-sama!

My ideal woman is devoted, a good cook, smarter than she lets on, and deceitful.

I asked Yuyuko-sama to meet me underneath the tree.
"What is it Chen? Are you bringing me a gift? Something tasty, perhaps?"
As usual, Yuyuko-sama was both capricious and vain, but I didn't have time to listen to such talk now.
"Yukuko-sama, this was all your doing, wasn't it?"
"Why, what ever do you mean, Chen-chan?" Her simple smile revealed nothing.
"What happened between Yukari-sama and Ran-sama. You fed Ran-sama human flesh mixed with leaves from the Saigyou Ayakashi to bring out her aggressive youkai side, so she'd resent her subordinance to Yukari. Then you pressured Yukari-sama to be less lenient with her. You tried to get them to kill each other!"
"Fufufufu~ Now where did sweet little Chen ever get such a preposterous idea?"
I shut my eyes for a moment to regain my composure. I wanted to to cry at how nonchalently Yuyuko was taking this, but I was determined to keep a hard face.
"I found something green in Ran-sama's food dish. The book lady at the Scarlet Devil Mansion assured me it came from a tree youkai."
