She's not particularly hard to rinse, you just squeeze her in fresh water and repeat a few times until the water doesn't get sudsy anymore.

Also yes, she does still smell like detergent because 1 TidePod = 1 full load of laundry. The whole pot of water felt overly soapy. This was enough detergent to wash 10 fumos. It doesn't harm the fumo at all, but I do recommend using a gentler detergent unless you don't mind your hands feeling all slippery and slightly tingly. I only used the TidePod because it was what I had on hand and it was a worst case scenario if this is the only detergent you had. To me, this proves that any garden variety detergent will work, just make sure it's not "Bleaching" or anything.
