I beg to disagree, and also agree with the other anon. First and last chapters were fantastic, whereas the middle chapters were merely decent with few good moments in the mix. I think Caim's indecisiveness was completely justified since the choice, as far as he was aware at that point was everyone dying vs. torturing Eustia, made more difficult by the latter herself also wishing to help. It isn't until later on that he realizes that living in a world without Eustia isn't worth it and stands up against Lucius, knowing he'll probably doom everyone in the process. Lucius' actions were also rooted in logic and always tried to maximize the number of survivors, making him one of the few truly rational people in the game since pretty much everyone else was going to doom the city rather than do what had to be done. In general the last chapter managed to nail a desperate "everything's going into the shitter" feel.

Though I'm not sure what to thing about the actual sacrifice happy ending. I was genuinely expected the game to end with everyone dying.
