>Studies have shown that women respond to all types of sexual depictions—not only heterosexual and homosexual images but even those of chimpanzees having sex.

http://discovermagazine.com/2007/jun/born-gay/article_view?b_start:int=0&-C=

First page, use ctrl+F to find the bit. The article isn't about female sexuality or bisexuality but it does make a passing reference to that study.

>heterosexual and lesbian women's sexual arousal to erotic films do not differ significantly by the genders of the participants (male or female) or by the type of sexual activity (heterosexual or homosexual).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_orientation#Sexual_arousal

Short answer: Women aren't interested in the gender of who's in the sexual act on the subconscious level. There brains automatically register arousal even before they notice the gender or even species of the things in the act. When they do register the people in the act of sex they're socially constructed morals come into play, so now they're feeling guilty AND aroused.

So all those yuri manga with that one girl going "We can't do this we're both girls!" and the other girl going "But you're already this wet, you know you want it." is an accurate and realistic depiction. First and last time ero-manga has been correct about anything ever.
