But since you asked, I think Rei is the most overhyped brat in history. Yes, she was nice, but noobs only worship her because she got them into JIs through Ladybaby. I'm sick of her elitist edgy attitude and her obsessive reddit-tier fan base. She's a horrible singer. Fame has gotten to her head. She's the Ai Shinozaki of JIs.

If you're counting all-time though it is a split between Tomoe (GOAT) and Nanako (best smile, best comedic talent, should have gotten her own TV show) There are too many legends to chose from though and honestly I couldn't pick one because every one has their own unique charm and character. I think JIs are not just about showing off your body, but also about personality. You feel a much stronger bond to the idols, which is why my favorite mainstream idols are Marina and RaMu. Marina is just such a cute chimpy turbo nerd and RaMu is always interesting to watch with a lot of positive vibes, although sometimes a bit concerning.
