Sometimes they're not obviously blurry but still filtered as fuck. I have no idea why they do this. Does it make downscaling look better on terrible devices? I have no idea.

Anyway, not a single manga I've bought or downloaded the sample from (it's always the same resolution) from kind has been larger than 1920 pixels tall. I don't know if that's Amazon imposing an arbitrary limitation, but even if it is, the fact is that digital manga quality is still bad. People don't read whatever happens to have a large resolution, they read whatever they're interested in reading.
