As for the 360 Cave ports: Futari > Espgaluda 2. Futari (and the first Mushi for that matter) feature three entirely different modes/difficulties for each version. Espgaluda 2 feels VERY gimmicky compared to Futari. It makes for a pretty deep scoring system but in my expert and professional opinion it feels like too much stuff and it ends up just being incredibly complicated. That's not to say that I don't understand it, I just don't like it. The arrange modes of both games are shit.

And as for the different modes, Original and Maniac are pretty accessible to beginners (relatively), and if you want a good challenge there's God mode, which I think is by far the best mode. If you're suicidal and/or stupid, you can try Ultra, but that shit is just a 20 lb box of rape, avoid at all costs. On the other hand, Espgaluda 2 comes in only one flavor, hard (not ultra rape, but pretty hard). Esp 2 black label is even more gimmicky than the arcade mode, but it's pretty nifty I guess.

As for music/art, etc, they both have amazing soundtracks and art/graphics. Futari has more shot types, if that matters to you at all.
