I turned subtitles off less than a month ago lol, I tried watching kaiji and just about the only word I could recognize was "くそ" so I switched to made in abyss and I can get singular words but rarely sentences. Guessing it's normal to hate it at this point.

It shows you enemies behind corners? That's what kills me 90% of the time. It's always turn a corner and oop there's a swarm of hounds specific to your lowest resist, ded.

Change creature rods are all that get me through most dungeons, regardless of character. On Torte I think I was carrying 8 or so at all times by the end. They're the perfect escape from almost any situation. Quick use works with them right? So I can change two creatures at once, or one creature twice? Best.
Ya I've always used blessed restores, if you haven't been then make sure to. I think it's something like 20% to all stats when using both.
The pet cooking thing is something I need to get working on. I have my little rabbit but I'm unsure if I want to go through with raising him. There are a lot of advantages but trading 20% speed for one or two pets is questionable.

I can't enjoy Fukumoto's mahjong manga after actually learning the rules.
It's just so absurd,t he kind of predictions the characters are able to make from discards that wouldn't have any special meaning at the very start of a hand, or the very concept of 'hunting down a player'.

In the vast majority of games your hand will maybe get into a cheap tenpai, there is no way you could 'hunt' someone day unless you had a miracle hand that allowed you to pick and choose what to wait on. And even then, not only you'd have to pick the wait, you'd have to do so based on your 100% accurate prediction of what the other person is going to be discarding, before that person is even in tenpai.

Akagi is at least entertaining because it's basically dragonball with mahjong tiles and drawnout similes, but series like Ten that actually try to pretend there is some deep and complicated strategy in play are just annoying.

It's only worth reading because of Akagi being a filthy cheater and Hiroyuki learning from him, but the actual mahjong part of it is the worst.

Opinion: Faceless protagonists are the worst thing in VNs

Not ony do they make any relationship between the MC and the other characters incredibly bland, it just takes me out of the story so much when CG pictures are incredibly awkward in how they're clearly made to not show the face of the MC in convoluted ways, making him face away from the 'camera', having things in front of his face, or the ever-dumb "My hair over my eyes is a curtain of impassable darkness".
