Unless, of course, this is a work-for-hire where the contract designated the rights are sold/transferred to the employer. Also, if the translator bothers to sue a company who steals their work, they'll probably be counter-sued for the unauthorized translation, making it lose-lose at best. Oh boy, now I have a completely useless translation that I can't share with anyone!! Woo!!

We can both find ways to be 'technically right' about this, but my points are:
1) There's stuff going on underground to prevent people from shutting down projects.
2) Aroduc's project is illegal if he didn't ask permission, but I doubt anyone cares, except for the one guy in this thread getting off to the idea of stopping him.
