In addition to the color scheme, one thing I really like about the golden cursed sword design is that it enables us to compare how it is much more defined in design than the intentional mess of the design of the profile cursed sword. It really gives the impression of a cursed sword who has stabilized and gotten full control over her biological armor, making it more streamlined than the other version.

So I just watched the cursed sword Eristia scene. I was surprised that it is actually the most vanilla of the scenes yet once she is past the initial transformation. Yuriy even remarks that she is behaving like she did in the past, before she became indoctrinated by the Order.

So yeah, score one for cursed swords making great partners once they get a handle on their instincts.

I think I am coming to understand better too how Japanese fans use hyperbole. Eristia goes on at length about having sex constantly during the various corruption scenes, but we see in other scenes how this isn't literal at least a lot of the time. That is even the holstaur transformation features her seemingly becoming a "thinks only of sex" monster, despite us just seeing in the previous scene a very normal behaving holstaur who keeps house while her husband is out working.

In other words, the corruption-heavy language seems to be more just for sex scenes rather than daily life. Most of the scenes don't go beyond the initial sex, so perhaps that is why the cursed sword one seems so much more romantic, as we get to see a scene past the initial ravishing.

Who's your low-key favorite unpopular monster girl? Cursed Sword, whenever I read the profile page, always makes me smile. The combination of the whole servant adores and dotes on master with unrepentant gleeful EDGE is delicious to me.
