Lately for some reason I keep finding graduated vtubers' last streams where they either make a zatsudan for their fans or have one last stream with their friends/vtuber groups as a farewell. They're hitting me harder than I expected.
There's something really eerie about an entire identity dying just like that; the roommate is still out there going on with their lives while the character just gets left behind to be remembered by a few. One day they have a decent following with thousands of subs and an a rich history of collabs with their groups, and then they just disappear into nothingness while their archives get purged and they just become one of the hundreds names left behind in memory as the trend keeps advancing.

It's a strange melancholic feeling and I don't like it.
