Anon finds a secluded, well-kept shrine away from civilisation.
The shrine has a cute fox lady in it.
The grown up fox isn't sure how long she's spent living in the shrine, but she becomes friends with Anon.
One night, while she's sitting beside him, they kiss.
Looking deep into each other's eyes, Anon says he'd like to live with her.
He wakes up in the morning in the shrine, and finds that the path he took to get there from civilisation has vanished entirely.

It turns out that the fox lady was just an illusion conjoured by the shrine, which was possessed by an evil entity who seduces humans, and steals them away to the spirit world so it can feast on their souls.
