The thing about the Creeping Coins is that they're basically the OG Succubus, but with greed instead of lust.
With succubi, telling yourself it's a trick and that she'll just devour your soul just doesn't make you any less horny. Same with Coins. The gold is fake, and yet your eyes are drawn to it almost instinctively.
The sparkling sheen of the metal, the unmistakable jangle of loose change. Not a single person in the world can look the other way at the sound of a coin dropping on the floor. We restrain ourselves, saying it isn't worth it, or the coin obviously belongs to someone else, but the desire is still there.
