Very nice. But that's not what they are about. There are some cool K-pop groups, like early Lovelyz and their candy jelly love was nice, also this is one of my favs:

Then there is Loona's "new"(one of the best K-pop songs ever for me). There are few more, but I don't want to derail. So yes, K-pop has some gems, but it is really hit and miss and I find it hard to go trough all their music to find couple gems. If you'd play the most popular songs there is a lot of ultra cringe Western style shit. I really hope Sakamichi will never be poisoned with that cringe, I would never follow cringe wave K-pop inspired group just because they speak Japanese
