I remember people got pissed at the theory goats when Episode 8 came out because they felt like Ryukishi was ridiculing them for trying to solve the mystery. When in reality the only thing being discouraged was letting the logic puzzles blind you to the human struggles behind the crimes. The theory goats are even praised by Eiserne Jungfrau as Dlanor and Will thoroughly enjoy fighting them.
