Implying ZUN can't simply go "eh that's good enough", especially with artists with stricter deadlines like Harukawa who had to pump out a chapter monthly. Just because ZUN can be strict doesn't mean he necesarily is with literally everything, nor that he won't impose different standards of strictness on different artists. Like anon said, look at Hirasaka. Or like you yourself said two sentences afterwards, ZUN may not be as stringent as you're trying to claim and thinks it's, again, good enough. Which doesn't make it any more canon than alphes' HM art for Futo.

Nice headcanon. Remember the part of the Kojiki where kappa are described as being cute pre-teen girls who shoot lasers? You can't assume the Touhou equivalent of any particular species has a particular trait associated with that species just because they're the Touhou equivalent of said species. Not when it's NEVER mentioned within the series, not when the majority of official artists (which includes ZUN, by the way) have NEVER portrayed tengu with wings, not when ZUN has shown to be capable of drawing wings but has NEVER drawn any for any of his tengu characters.

That's about character personalities, not the character designs, autismo. The differences you mention are either artist-caused or super minor, and neither is indicative that ZUN has the attitude you mention. And if he does, then he's still to explain Futo in HM, which according to your shit logic, is a totally canon representation of her character and canonizes her ability to change hair colors like she's a fucking chameleon.
