You have terrible taste. What's the problem with looking "cheap"? The sprites are charming, look good and were drawn by the author himself.

The updated sprites are good too, but they feel soulless and generic in comparison. I actually find them cheap-looking somehow. They probably took a lot of effort to make, but they don't feel like real art to me. It's like CG in movies.

Honestly, I feel bad for people that rejected Ryukishi's art without giving it a chance because the PS3 patches were available. Once you get used to it, you end up loving his style and appreciate every little thing he draws. I really enjoy looking at the Leaf Fight cards.
