They couldn't even show Rika herself drinking, just had one reference to Hanyuu not liking her red juice. No way they'd get away with Satoko smoking. That's not really their fault.

Although, if anything, they should have played up more Satoko being into sweets. It's an actual established character trait, although was never really important, but they could even tie it with Teppei's gifts. Gou manga/Meguri has shown her eating sweets several times though, so maybe Tomato will play it up more later on.
