For some, it's the product of pathologically angry people whose inner tard-rage has built up over the years, because they're pushovers/worthless in person. So, as soon as they have anonymity and an audience they see it as a chance to be assholes/vent their frustrations and not suffer the consequences they otherwise should. The magnitude of shitposter is directly proportional to the magnitude of in-person spinelessness as a result.

Humans weren't really designed to communicate completely anonymously / free of social boundaries. It takes a certain type of epiphany of common wisdom, that it's best to always treat others responsibly and respectfully.. this wisdom doesn't appear in most people until they're in their mid/late 20s, or even early 30s (and apparently never does in a few). Hence the mentally-undeveloped lose themselves to their inner-asshole in an environment such as this. Or of course they're simply underage.

Well, losing the right to be called human over that is kind of extreme imo, although, I do agree with OP's stance overall that pedos are detrimental to society and hence cannot ever be accepted in the same way that gays and other queer types are.

Gays don't tend to actually hurt or scar anyone (unless they are parading in SF in which case there may be psychological scarring in witnesses), but pedos objectively hurt society by craving things that result in child abuse or worse.
