Interesting, I think I've been in this zone most of my life as well. I've always been drawn to media with characters getting overly emotionally fucked up and finding comfort or strength in each other, especially if all of said characters are aesthetically appealing in some way i.e. cute adorable anime females. It marks me for garbage taste but it's like as long as attractive 2d girls are involved the cheapest of drama will destroy me.
