Phase 4 will end with half of the gauntlet knights surviving the apocalypse in a decimated world. And they won't be able to understand each other again because the internet has broken down, so no Kizuna for them.

Remember how many times the Tower of Babel was brought up by Takano in Higurashi? Something similar will happen here. I think their Kizuna will break down at some point and fuck up their coordination, making them unable to understand each other and fuck up their plans. It's exactly what happened in the story of the tower.
