明朝 was the only font that reliably did something to the window. When I tried using Noto Sans it didn't work at all. Not even in the preview window did it anything. Meanwhile 明朝 worked just fine in Word and other places and clearly changed the preview. But >>21419844 was right, Meirio just works perfectly. And it looks decent too.
