AHEM -BONUS robot shannon:
many have used as proof of shkanontrice the fact that in the 7th game Will ask Shannon to call Kanon to speak with him but then shannon becomes a robot and refuses to do it.
For Shkanontrice this comes from the fact that they 2 cannot be together but instead the solution to this fact is written in umineko.
Will compares this situation to a video game, even if you know the solution you can't go straight to the end but you have to pass all the levels before reach it, Will had solved the game after reading the 4th chapter (better than me) and knew that the culprit was Kanon and since his job was to find Beatrice's killer why not talk to the culprit?
But Yasu wanted Will to hear her side of the story before her requiem, so he ordered Shannon to stop him.

Ryuukishi is a play otaku. He originally wrote "Hinamizawa Bus Stop" as a play, but it was rejected and he transformed it into the Higurashi we know as a VN (most of the spoilers of Higurashi were already there in Bus Stop except with everything happening in a bus stop, different characters, and more grotesque details, such as the syndrome being huge fucking ants crawling on your brain). Bus Stop was eventually released as one of the Hou arcs. It retains the play-like narration and the "actors" are colored silhouettes of the Higurashi sprites, which is pretty cool.

Umineko was eventually made into a play within Higanbana, so that's that.

And RGD is apparently Ryuukishi's passion project, so he didn't give a fuck and made it into an actual play anyway despite its obscurity.
